A Taste of Puglia
The geographical make up of this region lends itself to gastronomic greatness. Its iron-rich soil and sun-soaked landscape create an ideal growing climate making it a highly agricultural area. Its mountainous interior makes the perfect breeding ground for livestock such as sheep, goats and cows that provide both meat and milk for some of the most incredible cheeses. Five hundred miles of coastline on the other hand provide a bounty of seafood that also plays a large role in the local cuisine.
Enjoy a menu inspired by the heel of Italy’s boot with a four-course Taste of Puglia. Your Pugliese dinner includes:
Polpo con Patate – grilled octopus and potato puree
Bruschetta Pomodori Secchi e Stracciatella – sundried tomato and stracciatella bruschetta
Spaghetti all’Assassina – spicy “killer” spaghetti
Patate, Riso e Cozze – casserole of potato, rice and mussels
Spigola all’Acqua Pazza – sea bass in “crazy water”
Bombetta e Zucchini alla Poverella – grilled meat roll served with fried zucchini
Deconstructed Sporcamuss – sfoglia pastry with custard and fresh fruit
Wine is available for purchase onsite or bring your own wine and pay corkage fee.
